Cormac Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced, talented and motivated person with a proven ability to lead the design and support the delivery of strategic transportation infrastructure projects. This is an interesting role in which the key responsibility is to lead the technical aspects of complex multidisciplinary highway projects.
Your principal responsibilities will be the management of a programme of work, the technical development of projects, and staff, client and stakeholder management.
Formed in 2012 as a highway, engineering and construction specialist, we are a Cornwall Council-owned company, operating at arm’s length to give us the freedom to compete in markets that local authorities are unable to.

You will need a high level of technical competence and experience in transport infrastructure design projects. You should hold a degree/HNC in Civil Engineering and be an Incorporated Engineer or equivalent. You should have a comprehensive understanding of the relevant legislation and standards, as well practical knowledge of the latest design software packages.
You will also need strong commercial and project management skills and be experienced using NEC3 contracts and PRINCE2. You will also need extensive experience of staff and client relationship management. You should also have a demonstrable track record of delivering schemes within budget and on programme.
