You will lead teams undertaking wide ranging technical duties and complex projects and manage programmes of allocated work. This involves working with Cormac colleagues within the structures Group, their partners and the Construction teams as well as Cornwall Council staff.
You will ensure that the implementation of schemes/projects/policy initiatives/bids are completed within agreed timescales as well as produce guidance, reports etc. for members and external bodies.
You will lead projects for complex schemes, policies or projects to ensure the delivery of effective services.
You will provide competent professional advice and guidance to team members, other teams within the Service and other Directorates.

You will have a Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or other appropriate subject and significant experience in Highway Structures Design and assessment.
You will have achieved or working towards Incorporated Engineer status or appropriate alternative.
Experience of developing partnership working, building effective relationships and enhancing the reputation of the business with stakeholders and partners is essential as well as experience in a design environmental and demonstrable knowledge of delivering engineering design projects.
You will have a sound understanding of procurement processes and risk management and experience of giving advice to Senior Management and building relationships with clients.
