This role involves providing support to the Asbestos Manager and other staff within the Asbestos Consultancy. It will primarily include asbestos surveying and sampling; with the provision of bulk analysis and air testing services and four-stage re-occupation certification, depending on your qualifications and experience.
The role also includes the on site management and supervision of asbestos removal contracts; ensuring that the operations are performed safely, in compliance with the CAR, and that the properties are suitable for re-use through the statutory Re-occupation Certification.

You will have considerable experience of sampling and testing of bulk asbestos materials; air sampling; fibre counting and 4-stage reoccupation certification in accordance with HSG 248.
An in depth knowledge of asbestos removal operations is essential as well as the ability to manage and direct asbestos removal contractors and project manage site operations.
You will have good attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to solve basic problems logically and make appropriate and timely decisions to fulfil the obligations of the role.
5 GSCEs at grade C or above including English and Maths or equivalent are required along with a British Occupational Hygiene Society Proficiency Certificates in Asbestos modules P401, P403 and P404 (or equivalent).
