You will be responsible and accountable for the operational delivery of major strategic civil engineering and transportation projects. You will lead, manage and monitor project programs from inception to final sign off as well as oversee and monitor the appropriate levels of labour, materials and plant and manage the coordination and procurement of sub contracts.
You will undertake all aspects of design and build (D&B) including managing and coordinating early contractor involvement, undertaking design liaison, programming and key date management for consultants and scheme partners. You will work with the Contracts Manager, Commercial Director and partners to manage and deliver engineering solutions to improve the quality of construction and the transport infrastructure both in Cornwall and within the region.
You will be responsible for the operational delivery of strategic civil engineering and transportation projects. You will manage and co-ordinate Early Contractor Involvement and key date management for a multitude of consultants and scheme partners including external and internal business units, Highways Engineering Services Laboratory, County Legal, County PFI team, internal audit, corporate procurement, CC Asset management team, Public Rights of Way among others.
You will assist the Contracts Manager and Commercial Director in the preparation of competitive tenders and to assess construction programmes in order to win contract work for Cormac in competition with external organisations.
You will control and manage the appropriate levels of labour, materials and plant required to undertake individual projects effectively. To produce independent financial reports, project cash flow forecasts, accounts, over-payments and analysis of project financial status for Cormac projects including recommendations where action is deemed necessary. To deliver projects to planned timescales, within budget and to a performance level that satisfies or exceeds commercial expectation. To oversee a range of works and manage individual major operational construction works.
This role will see you managing and co-ordinating a range of projects/schemes ensuring that works progress efficiently.
You will resolve works programming issues in accordance with the Contract constraints and liaise with the Client’s representative to resolve unforeseen problems encountered on site.
You will organise the available resource of labour, materials and plant to ensure that the work is undertaken in the most efficient and economic manner to meet agreed profit targets.
You will prepare or assist in the preparation of interim valuations and assist in the completion of final accounts for the work and in the processing of claims.
This role will see you schedule and plan all phases of utilities and services companies (along with any 3rd party stakeholder involved or affected) and their agent’s construction projects to meet Cormac contracting scheme goals and deadlines.
You will co-ordinate all information between public utility and service companies and Cormac Contracting and research/collate all relevant scheme and works information from public utility and service companies.
You will play a leading role in the close liaison between Cormac managers and utilities and service providers building sound working relationships across all parties.
Inspect utilities and services work in progress and work completed for compliance and quality assurance.
This role will see you organising appropriate levels of labour, materials and plant on site to ensure that the work is undertaken in the most efficient and economic manner.
You will undertake/coordinate setting out activities on site and prepare works programme in accordance with the contract constraints.
You will liaise with the client’s representative to resolve unforeseen problems encountered on site and feedback to the Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager, Project Manager and Estimator with actual outputs achieved on site.
You will also assist in the completion of final accounts for the work and in the processing of claims.
This role will see you preparing works schedule/programme in accordance with the contract constraints.
You will organise appropriate levels of labour, materials and plant on site to ensure that the work is undertaken in the most efficient and economic manner to meet agreed profit targets.
You will undertake/co-ordinate setting out activities on site, control subcontractors work on site and ensure the work on site progresses in line with the agreed programme.
