Cormac was the first highways venture of its kind in the UK, and remains the best known of the Corserv group of companies. Formed in 2012 as a highway, engineering and construction specialist, we are a Cornwall Council-owned company, operating at arm’s length to give us the freedom to compete in markets that local authorities are unable to.
We are passionate about our natural and built environment, the role we play in connecting people, protecting our environment, unlocking opportunities, and shaping the communities we live in. We employ over 750 people and our spending – well into the millions - with local small and medium businesses helps boost the local economy.
Cormac work on so much more than roads and highways. We design and build major projects across Cornwall. We inspect, maintain, assess and design bridges and retaining walls on Cornwall’s road network and public rights of way. We offer a range of specialist expertise in the fields of transportation modelling, accident investigation and prevention, urban infrastructure, traffic regulation orders, and the built environment.
We also have an in-house UKAS accredited laboratory which undertakes geotechnical and environmental investigations, mining remediation, materials testing and asbestos sampling and testing.
We have a need for a number of roles across many different specialisms to help us complete our £400m worth of work including £100m of major projects. We have listed these under the headings of design and construction. If you have any questions about any of the roles, feel free to email us at email@example.com.
